Handwoven Ribbons

Having studied at Woven Textiles at Central St. Martins, I initially developed and explored three-dimensional form through weaving on the loom.  These evolved into my signature textile jewellery where I created solid geometric forms entirely by hand. From 2014-2016 as part of my Clothworkers/Cockpit Arts award I had the use of a loom so began weaving my own ribbons again. Incredibly time consuming I made a couple of one off statement necklaces using the ribbons as the central feature.
